Really, the whole RSpec process gets so much better when you can run it in Textmate with the RSpec bundle. In the Peepcode screencasts, they use Autotest sending messages to Growl (a cool Mac utility). The current site I'm starting to work on does not have a good history with testing. The same scenario that you and I faced with Apriux.
